Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to preview, execute, and verify bulk A record IP updates safely.
Use the following workflow to bulk edit A records from zone selection through final verification.
- Enable Select Mode
Begin by enabling Select Mode in the interface. This allows you to select multiple zones for batch operations.
- Select Target Zones
Choose the zones where you want to update A records. You can select as many zones as needed for bulk processing.
- Open the Bulk Action Menu
Click the Bulk Action menu and select "Bulk Edit IP". This feature also supports editing AAAA records, but this guide focuses on A records.
- Enter New IP Address
Input the new IP address you want to apply to the selected zones, then click "Generate Preview."
- Review Changes in Preview
The preview screen shows the existing A record IP addresses and the new IP address that will replace them. Carefully review the changes to ensure accuracy before proceeding.
- Apply Changes
If everything looks correct, click "Apply Changes."
- Choose Processing Mode
Select how the operation will be executed. For this example, use Server-Side Processing (Recommended), which runs in the background on aioflare servers, does not require your browser to stay open, and is ideal for large-scale updates.
- Background Execution
Once started, the process continues independently of your session. You can safely close your browser or continue other tasks.
- Check Queue Status
After completion, navigate to the Queue Status page to monitor progress, view success and failure results, and identify any records that failed to update.
- Verify Changes
Confirm the updates in two ways: review detailed results on the Queue Status page, then open the affected zones and verify that all A record IP addresses reflect the new value. If the process completes without errors, all selected records will be updated successfully.
Verification and Outcome
Use queue history and zone DNS records to confirm that your bulk A record update completed successfully.
Bulk editing A records in aioflare gives you a controlled workflow for large-scale IP updates. By reviewing the preview, using server-side processing for bigger jobs, and checking final results in both Queue Status and the affected zones, you can update records with confidence.
Best practice: always review the preview carefully, prefer server-side processing for larger jobs, and verify the final state in both Queue Status and the DNS records of the affected zones.
